Villa Rani holds a very special place in our hearts.
We’re Gayle & Hank. We’ve been married for over 30 years and built this beautiful villa from the ground up. Having visited Bali for the past 30 years, we couldn’t think of a better place to recreate our own idea of heaven than right here in our home of Byron Bay.
We aim to provide you with as much or as little help and assistance as you require. Please feel free to let us know if you are here to retreat from the world or if you would like our help planning your stay with us. We endeavour to make ourselves available to you as much as possible.
Please note that our home is located in relatively close proximity to the villa. However, we sincerely respect your space and privacy and endeavour to keep our family noise levels to a minimum. We appreciate that you acknowledge and consider this to be shared property. If you're seeking a deeply private and isolated space, this may not be the villa for you.
Our approach is authentic, and our style is simple and chic.
The Villa
Villa Rani is set on 5 acres and is available for 2-4 people with plenty of room to walk your furbabies. We’re would love to give you advice on local hotspots, with so many wonderful cafes, bars and restaurants within 10 minutes drive, there’s no shortage of wonderful places to discover during your stay.
The one and only Byron Bay Main Beach is also only 15 minutes drive away - there you can explore the local area and take a hike up the Lighthouse to see the world-famous Wategoes beach - not to be missed. We are also located 15 minutes from the beautiful seaside town of Brunswick Heads and the iconic Mullumbimby township.
We have so many more things to share, but let’s keep that for when we meet!

Q. What are the check-out/in times?
Our standard check-in time is after 2 PM, and our check-out time is 10 AM. If you require an early check-in or late check-out, we offer special rates as follows. Please request these arrangements as early as possible to ensure timely processing.

Q. Do you offer 1-night stays?
Yes! However, these are available upon request only. Please submit a pre-approval enquiry via our listing on Airbnb and specify your chosen dates. Please note that 1-night stays may differ from regular 2-night stay prices due to the shorter stay length.
Q. Are we a serviced accommodation?
Villa Rani is NOT a serviced accommodation with supply replenishment and cleaning services. If your stay is longer than one week, we will provide you with fresh linen upon request and take care of the laundry.
Q. What are your recommendations for close-by wellness, pampering and therapeutic services?
Villa Rani is excited to announce that we have partnered with a wonderful massage therapist who offers on-site massage and energy healing, bringing a deeply restorative and therapeutic experience right to our guests’ doorstep. During your stay, you are entitled to a 10% discount on all treatments. Please DM us for more details and to book during your stay.
Q. Is the property suitable for children?
Our property is suitable for children under the age of two. However, if you are travelling with children between 2 and 12 years old, please message us directly, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Special requests are considered.
We can provide a standard cot for your children under two years old.
Q. What are the pet guidelines?
A maximum of 2 pets is allowed per party. All breed information must be sent to us prior to your arrival. Pets must be kept on a leash in the car park, as we have a couple of resident cats. We kindly request that you bring some materials (e.g., blankets) with you to cover the furniture and prevent any potential damage.
A little more about Villa Rani
Inspired by the beautiful villas of Bali, Villa Rani features two spacious bedrooms with king & queen beds, a luxurious natural stone bathroom with a double shower and French doors that open to the outdoor stone bathtub.
Guests will have no need to leave this Balinese retreat; with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and media room featuring Netflix, a sound system, and WiFi, it is the perfect place to retreat, unwind, and rejuvenate in the peaceful ambience.
A spacious, enclosed outdoor living area offers a fully private and serene place to enjoy a glass of wine and a home-cooked meal.
Villa Rani offers our guests more than a beach holiday; it provides the opportunity to transport yourself to the rolling rice paddies of Bali, while also being within a 20-minute drive of Byron Bay's laid-back beaches.

Cleaning Fee: A one-off cleaning fee of $150.00 AUD per stay will be automatically added to our standard rate if you book via Airbnb. If you book directly, please add this to your booking rate when you transfer funds.
Accessibility: The villa has ramp access to the main outdoor module from the car park and entrance. We can confirm that the bedroom entrances are approximately 970mm in width, and the bathroom entrances are 670mm in width. We would sincerely appreciate it if you could please share your needs and requirements with us, and we will try our best to meet them.
Car parking: We have a maximum of 2 cars per party at Villa Rani. Unfortunately, we do not offer any electric car charging options.
Strict non-smoking & noise policies: Villa Rani is a strictly non-smoking property & noise levels are to be kept to a minimum after 10 PM.
